Scary..

Terrible dream last night. It was not a nightmare, yet the story was intriguing and full of fear. A lot of people suddenly walking and ramming into my frontyard one evening, holding torch, swords, banners, and other frightening stuff, demanding me to pay for certain tax. They say that every Christian family there is obliged to pay an amount of money monthly for living in the neighborhood, which of course dominantly occupied by fellow Moslems. Rp. 1000 for each child in the house, Rp. 2000 for the adults, and Rp. 3000 for the seniors, like grandmas and grandpas. The atmosphere is so dark and swollen. I just can’t think of anything else to do, since nobody’s home besides me at that time, than handing them the money. Couldn’t remember what happened afterwards…

It might be not good to post something potential of propaganda and stereotyping. But I just want to be honest for myself (since this IS my own blog) and for my friends out there. The dream has truly caught my attention about our nation. This is the land of peace, harmony, and dreams also. I just hate hearing the news of religion this fighting religion that in some parts of our beloved country, regardless who had started the fire first. Why do we need to make a big sense on people’s devotion to his/her own God? Why do we even need to bring God to justify our action in scrutinizing and terrorizing our own friends and partners who come from different spiritual realm? I personally think we don’t need to keep on fighting just to see who’s right and who’s wrong after all… Reconciliation is a must.

Some Christians may have done terrible things in cultural and spiritual harmony in Indonesia, so hereby I would like to ask for forgiveness to our fellow Moslems… I hope that we all can get along for the sake of our nation, our country, our tanah air Indonesia. I also forgive those dark conflicts happened in the past years. Let’s just make today is a better day than tomorrow. If you agree with me, please shout “We love, therefore we war not!” in your blog and spread this peace message to all of your friends.

Music stuff

Siti Nurhaliza is my doll! I always admire her unique charm and adorable personality, especially since her last appearance on MTV Asia Award 2003. And last night, watching her singing on stage with Dewa completely blew my mind up. Thanks to Indosiar for airing it live. She sang Mistikus Cinta; though her voice obviousl along with Once. Although her voice obviously didn’t suit the genre, the performance was breath taking. The only thing I regret is to see that ugly Dhani standing also among them.

Just borrowed My Sassy Girl VCD. Planning on watching it tonight. For your information, I’m not into any Asian drama, especially love stories. But after watching Il Mare few days ago, aaargh!, it was sooo sweet! Jeon Ji-Hyun suddenly rockets to the top of my idol list. :) Jeon, couldn’t wait to taste you tonite! Hahaha…

Speaking of taste, if you enjoy rock songs, please come to GBI Moria this Saturday on 6 PM. My band, along with 4 others, will be performing in a supposed-to-be rock nite party. Reload, my current band name, is scheduled for 3 songs. Two of them are cover songs: Kalau Bunyi Sangkakala and Broken. While the last is my newest stuff titled Kamehame Song. Hahaha! I promise that we will tear the fu**ing place down with lotsa distortion and core/growls. Considering that it’s held in a church, I hope that the conggegration there won’t get so panicky when we enter the stage.

Oh yeah, something really funny happened yesterday. I was going to call my friend, Ari, to inform him about today’s band rehearsal. I went to this public payphone and dialed his number written on my mobile. Over few seconds, I hear “Hello” voice from the other end. Problem is, I have this feeling that it’s not Ari’s hello. So I quickly checked my mobile again and realised the mistake. I dialed Ari Wibowo’s number! Hahaha… Shocked, I spontaneously hung up to phone and just stared blankly at the mirror placed before me. Hahaha! Hahaha! Hahaha! Uhm oh mmm, okay, maybe it’s not that funny. Sorry.

After the gig

The supposed-to-be rock nite went quite well. There were 5 bands performing. However, with not-so-enthusiastic crowd, the whole scene looked pale and boring. I just wished the crowd got nastier than just clapping hands and stuff. And the most horrid thing is that most of the time, they just sit there on the ground! Arrrrgh!

Anyway, my band performed three of the rehearsed songs. When on rehearsal, I just got this plenty breathe and were able to core so loud along the two hour session. But yesterday, I nearly collapsed just after singing the first song. And thankfully something happened afterwards. When we were on the second song, just seconds away from the screaming chorus, suddenly the electricity went down. I was a bit surprised, yet the whole 5 dark minutes helped me a lot in regaining power to continue on the 2nd and 3rd song. Hearing the crowd cheering, “Reload! Reload! Reload!…” was very encouraging since before we were a bit troubled whether the people would get too shocked. Thank God it all went well.

My Sassy Girl is a virus, and Jeon Ji-Hyun really got my heart… Oh my. And last night I watched the film for the second time. Still I got the vibration and tingling feeling like on the first time.
